DStatis Prof. Dr. Dr. Rolf Krebs (Chairman), ex-Boehringer Ingelheim


Prof. Krebs was Chairman of the Board of Managing Directors at Boehringer Ingelheim headquartered in Ingelheim/Germany which he joined in 1989. Prior to that he was in various functions within the pharmaceutical division of Bayer AG, Leverkusen, followed by a position as Vice CEO with Bayer Italia S.p.A. in Milan. He served as President of EFPIA, the European pharma association, from 1996 – 1998 and is the current President of IFPMA, the world pharma association. Professor Krebs holds various posts in the advisory boards of major German companies.
 
 
DStatis Prof. Dr. Dr. Uwe Bicker (Deputy Chairman)


Prof. Bicker holds a PhD in chemistry and a MD. He held several positions within Boehringer Mannheim, todays Roche AG, at last in the Management Board. Afterwards he joined the Management Board of Behringwerke AG, was a member of the Board of HoechstMarionsRoussell AG and Executive Chairman of Dade Behring Inc., USA, responsible for the Pharma as well as Diagnostic business. Today, Prof. Bicker is Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Dade Behring GmbH, Supervisory Board member of Future Capital, and Definiens AG, board member of the Aventis foundation and furthermore teaches as a Professor at the Ruprecht-Karls-University Heidelberg at the faculty for clinical medicine in Mannheim.

 
 
DStatis Prof. Dr. Guenther Reiter


Prof. Reiter studied Business Economics and Mathematics at the University of Tuebingen. Afterwards, he worked scientifically for the University's R&D department for Industrial Economics and earned his doctorate degree. Later on he held several managing positions such as Manager Business Administration and Controlling at Trumpf GmbH & Co. in Ditzingen and at last as executive member of the Hofkammer of Wuerttemberg. As a Dean and Prodean, Prof. Reiter was actively involved in the development of the European School of Business (ESB) in Reutlingen in  the 90's and started teaching there again in 2001 as a professor. Furthermore, he is a member of the Supervisory Board of Deltoton AG.

 
 
DStatis Dr. Ann Clare Kessler


Ann Clare Kessler holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and a Master of Science as well as a PhD in Biochemistry. For more than thirty years, Dr. Kessler held several senior positions at Hoffmann-La Roche Inc. in the US, including Vice President and Head of Exploratory Research and VP of Pharmacology and Chemotherapy, prior to moving to Switzerland where she was in charge of the International Project Management group of Hoffmann-La Roche in Basel for another 5 years until 1995. Dr. Kessler currently serves on the Board of Directors of MedGenesis Therapeutix, Inc. as well as on the Science Advisory Board of Gen-Probe Inc..

 
 
DStatis Günther Frankenne


Günther Frankenne is an Economist who started his professional career at Sandoz AG in 1968. He served as CEO of Wander Pharma and as CEO of Sandoz AG. He was involved in the 3-year merger-process between Ciba-Geigy and Sandoz to form Novartis, where he held the position of Deputy Chairman and has been active until his retirement in 1999. Furthermore, he headed committees at the Bundesverband der Pharmazeutischen Industrie (BPI) and Verband forschender Arzneimittelhersteller (VFA). Currently Günther Frankenne is a Board member of  “Forum Medizin Technik und Pharma” (initiated by the Ministry of Economic Affairs in Bavaria) and acts as consultant for Health Care companies. In his capacity he holds positions in various Supervisory Boards.
 
 
DStatis Heino von Prondzynski


Heino von Prondzynski is a well-known expert in the diagnostics industry and looks back at a distinguished career in several leading diagnostic companies. Until December 2005, he headed the Diagnostics Division at F.Hoffmann-La Roche AG, Basel. Before that he held senior positions in the Vaccine business at Chiron Corp. in Germany, Italy and US and in the Pharma, Self-medication and Diagnostic business at Bayer AG in Germany, Austria and Brazil. After retiring from his position as CEO of the Roche Diagnostics division, Heino von Prondzynski works as an independent consultant and holds further posts in the boards of BB MedTech AG, Schaffhausen, Switzerland,  Koninklijke Philips Electronics N.V. (Royal Philips Electronics), Eindhoven, The Netherlands and Qiagen N.V., Venlo, The Netherlands.
