The Avantgarde of Biotech: Epigenomics opens its new Headquarters

The celebrations of the official opening of Epigenomics\' headquarters in central Berlin were the backdrop for analysing Epigenomics\' growth opportunities from different perspectives. Berlin\'s economics minister Mr. Branoner declred: \"The start of Epigenomics\' business activities at their new headquarters constitutes another example of Berlin\'s strength as a biotech area. New, highly qualified and future-oriented jobs are created (...). Berlin supports the ambitious goal of global market leadership with venture capital from its IBB (Investitionsbank Berlin Beteiligungsgesellschaft).

Professor Dr. Trautner, former vice presidenrt of the German Max-Planck Gesellschaft and director of Berlin\'s Max Planck Institute for Molecular Genetics, provided the over 60 guests with a historic overview of medicine\'s development. From its empirical roots, medicine has come a long way towards rational drug design. Epigenetics, as undertaken by Epigenomics has for a long time \"been a neglected field, however, with enormous potential (...). The likelihood of success for Epigenomics are excellent, as Epigenomics is part of the up and coming avantgarde of the biotech industry.\"

Deutsche Bank director Eastern Germany Herr Most outlined his conviction that even the world\'s largest bank will have to follow a process of change-of-mind as far as financing high-tech start-ups in the industries of the future are concerned. This is ultimately the only way that economic success for all parties concerned can be ensured.

Epigenomics is a young, growth-oriented biotech company, offering a unique technology platform. Epigenomics aims at introducing the first routine diagnostics based on molecular biology for complex genetic disease into clinical reality on a global scale. Epigenomics pioneers the massive collection of epigenetic information for a description of cells and individuals by \"digital phenotypes\".
