Cancer Screening Diagnostics
Development and commercialization of molecular diagnostic test products for the early detection of specific cancers in body fluids targeting high-volume markets with up to 300 million men and women above the age of 50 in the major market countries. Our leading product development program aims at developing a blood-based colorectal cancer screening test and the necessary generic assay procedures for testing of DNA methylation biomarkers in body fluids. Further screening parameters in development are for the early detection of prostate and lung cancer.
Cancer Specialty Diagnostics
Development and commercialization of molecular diagnostic test products for cancer specialty applications with high medical needs such as the surveillance and monitoring of high-risk groups and cancer prognosis. In this area we aim at leveraging available biomarkers for colorectal cancer specialty applications such as surveillance of individuals at high risk of developing this cancer. For patients newly diagnosed with prostate cancer, we develop a tissue-based prostate cancer molecular classification test that may help to estimate the risk of cancer recurrence after surgical removal of the prostate (radical prostatectomy).
