Epigenomics offers the exploration and biological selection of DNA methylation biomarker candidates in a wide variety of sample types -like formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded and fresh-frozen tissue samples. In this step biomarker candidates obtained through Epigenomics' Biomarker Discovery service or other sources can be prioritized according to statistical and biological criteria.
Direct Bisulfite Sequencing is the method of choice to analyze DNA methylation levels of selected genomic regions in larger sample cohorts. Direct Bisulfite Sequencing is a robust and reliable method to obtain quantitative DNA methylation information at single CpG resolution over large stretches of genomic DNA. The methylation information obtained allows the optimal targeting of downstream DNA methylation assay development.
DNA methylation analysis can be performed on any gene of interest. Additionally, Epigenomics offers established Bisulfite Sequencing Assays for selected genes.
Available Bisulfite Sequencing Assays (July 2007).
