Epigenomics' OncoSignapproach is designed to rapidly extract DNA methylation biomarker candidates for drug response prediction in human tumor cell lines.

Using DMH, Epigenomics obtained genome-wide DNA methylation profiles of 60 human tumor cell lines of various tissue origins. Comparing drug sensitivity data on these cell lines with the DNA methylation profiles allows for the identification of biomarker candidates for drug response prediction. Interested parties simply need to generate the drug sensitivity data on Epigenomics' cell lines - no additional DNA methylation profiling experiment is needed. Epigenomics offers drug sensitivity profiling on its cell line panel through its partner CellTrend (Luckenwalde, Germany).

Using OncoSign™, Epigenomics successfully identified and confirmed methylation biomarker candidates for:

    • EGFR tyrosine kinase inhibitor (see Example Data)
    • Aurora kinase inhibitor
    • Microtubule inhibitor
    • Topoisomerase inhibitor
