Differential Methylation Hybridization (DMH)

Epigenomics, together with its partner Affymetrix, developed a new Differential Methylation Hybridization (DMH) microarray for highly efficient methylation profiling of human samples. Differentially methylated fragments can be further explored and developed into biomarkers for multiple applications.

  • Covers over 50,000 genomic fragments.
  • Provides highly reproducible, reliable results.
  • Requires only 1 µg of DNA.
  • Marker candidates readily transfer to assay technologies suitable for clinical routine.

DMH methylation profiling is available from Epigenomics as part of its Biomarker Service offerings.

Example Data

Quantification of methylated DNA by DMH

Artificially methylated DNA (0%, 50%, 100%) was analyzed using Epigenomics' DMH micorarray. More than 90% of all probe sets differentiate well between the different methylation states.

Reproducibility of DMH results

Two DMH workflows (incl. DNA preparation, pre-analytics and chip hybridization) were repeated and plotted against each other. Epigenomics' DMH process is extremely reproducible
