Berlin (Germany) and Germantown, MD (U.S.A.), April 18, 2016 – Epigenomics AG (Frankfurt Prime Standard: ECX, OTCQX: EPGNY), the German-American cancer molecular diagnostics company, will present data from a validation study with a proprietary panel of blood-based DNA methylation biomarkers for the detection of lung cancer at the Annual Meeting 2016 of the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) in New Orleans, Louisiana. Epigenomics’ clinical research has received funding under the European Union Framework Program for Research and Innovation (Horizon 2020*) and is part of the ongoing development of the company’s novel, blood-based lung cancer test Epi proLung(R). Liquid biopsy tests such as Epigenomics’ Epi proColon(R) and Epi proLung(R) tests have the potential to radically improve cancer diagnosis in the relevant patient populations.
